Youth dies of wounds hours after shot for alleged stabbing, Ashkelon

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Sunday morning  shot, injured a  youth who rerportedly stabbed an Israeli soldier near the bus station in Ashkelon (occupied Askalan) inside the green line.

The alleged stabber, identified as 32 year old Kamel Hassan, had the Sudanese nationality. He shot and seriously wounded by the IOF after he tried to flee the scene. Shortly later, he was announced dead of his wounds.

At first it was announced that the assailant was Palestinian.

One soldier sustained moderate injuries in the alleged attack.

An Israeli police statement claimed responsibility for shooting the suspect.

The seventh Israeli channel said that paramedics evacuated the 20-year-old Israeli soldier to the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon in moderate condition with stab wounds to his upper body.
