A Palestinian teenager was shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces this Tuesday morning at the Gush Etzion illegal junction, south of Bethlehem.
According to the Jerusalem Post, the young Palestinian attempted to stab a settler when Israeli occupation forces at the scene shot and killed him.
Israeli paramedics administered initial care at the scene and evacuated the settler to Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem.
According to Ynet News, the Palestinian young man was identified as Ma’amoun al-Khatib, 16, from Bethlehem.
The Gush Etzion illegal junction has been the site of multiple stabbing and shooting attacks in the last few week. At least five Palestinians have now been shot dead there after allegedly attempting to carry out attacks, while two Israelis and one Palestinian bystander were killed in a shooting last month, with the shooters later arrested.
Since the begging of October, more than 100 Palestinians have been killed either by the Israeli occupation forces or by settlers.
