Foreign woman stabbed, injured in Jerusalem, Palestinian arrested

A foreign citizen was stabbed in a bus stop in West Jerusalem this Sunday morning. The Palestinian man manage to run away but shortly after was arrested by the Israeli police.

According to Jerusalem Post, a Palestinian man stabbed a woman near a bus station in Jerusalem on Shamgar street this morning.

The foreign woman (her nationality still not known), in her thirties, sustained a moderate wound in her back. MDA evacuated her to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.

According to the Israeli police, “an initial investigation revealed that the woman was standing next to a bust stop on Shamgar street, when a Palestinian man approached her and stabbed her in the back before fleeing the scene.”

The Palestinian man fled the scene however the Israeli police arrested him after a manhunt in the area.

Earlier on Sunday, a Palestinian man was shot dead after allegedly stabbing and injuring an Israeli police officer near the Damascus gate in occupied East Jerusalem.

Overnight between Saturday and Sunday, the IOF arrested 15 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank raids.

Also, during a weapons raid in Hebron, Israeli soldiers from the Givati infantry brigade’s Tzabar battalion seized an M-16 assault rifle, a handgun, and ammunition.
