Friday in numbers: more than 90 Palestinians injured and 3 dead in confrontations with the IOF

Another tense Friday in the occupied West Bank and in the Gaza Strip. At least 94 Palestinians were shot and injured during clashes across the occupied West Bank and three Palestinian young men were killed by the IOF according to medical sources.

On Friday morning,  Issa Shalaldah, 22, succumbed to injuries in Hebron’s al-Ahli hospital one day after being shot by the IOF. Lafi Yusif Awad, 22, was brought to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah in critical condition and pronounced dead shortly afterwards, and 23-year-old Hassan Jihad al-Baw was shot in the heart during clashes in Halhul; he died immediately.

As stated by the Ministry of Health, 26 Palestinians were injured with live bullets and 35 with rubber-coated steel bullets in al-Balou area of northern al-Bireh in the Ramallah district.

East of al-Bireh, 2 Palestinians were also injured with rubber-coated steel bullets and 3 international activists were detained from a weekly march in Bilin.

In the Hebron area, 7 Palestinians were injured by the IOF with live fire when clashes erupted in Ras al-Jura and 14 others were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets around Hebron and Qallqilya.

Earlier in the day, a 55-year-old Palestinian man and three youths were shot and injured during clashes in the Ras al-Jura following a march called for by Hamas and a medic was shot in the ear during clashes near al-Azza refugee camp in Bethlehem, according to Maan News.

In the Gaza Strip 17 Palestinians were injured by live fire during marches. Over 7.000 Palestinians have been injured and 83 Palestinians were killed since the beginning of last month.
