Palestinian man shot dead near Za’tara checkpoint

This Friday morning the Israeli occupation forces shot dead one Palestinian and seriously wounded another young one near the Za’tara checkpoint, south of Nablus. The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the Palestinian killed as Qassem Mahmoud Sabaneh, 20, from Jenin. The other man was still not identified.

According to the IOF, they were driving a motorbike too fast and tried to attack two israeli ‘boarder guards’ with knives at the checkpoint.
According to sources of the Palestinian Red Crescent, the crews managed to take the body of the martyr Saba’neh to the town of Qabatiya in Jenin, along with the injured man who was shot in the chest and transferred to a hospital in serious conditions.
The area, including the checkpoint, was closed following the incident. No Israeli injuries were reported.
