A Palestinian youth was shot dead by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) after stabbing, killing two settlers and wounding two others in Old Jerusalem’s Lions’ Gate, Saturday evening.
Israeli Police said military and police forces have immediately gunned down the stabber, who was identified as 19-year-old Jerusalemite Mohannad Halabi.
The killed and wounded are reportedly members of the same ultra-orthodox family, and were heading to the Buraq Wall (proclaimed western wall).
A woman in her 40s, in addition to a toddler, were lightly injured in the operative.
Ambulances rushed to the scene to give medical care to the wounded.
During the past weeks, Israeli-Palestinian clashes have been on the rise, especially over Israeli violations, closures and attacks on Al-Aqsa mosque in light of Jewish holidays.
On Thursday, an Israeli settler and his wife were shot dead in their car while their four children were in the back in the occupied West Bank.
