Teenage girl, Hadil Hashlamoun’s body was handed by Israeli ambulances to her family Tuesday night on the Beit Jala checkpoint, shortly after she was announced of wounds she sustained after shot by Israeli soldiers on Tuesday morning.
Soldiers claimed that she tried to stab a soldier, which was refuted by photos that show zero signs of attack on her side.
The family said that the funeral will take place on Wednesday.
The Palestinian National Unity Government following the announcement of her death, has demanded the United Nations to form an international investigation committee to look into the circumstances that led to the murder of Hadil Hashlamoun.
According to IMEMC, the government said images captured and published by the Youth Against Settlements Coalition, revealed that Hashlamoun posed no threat to the soldiers, and that the shooting, unlike military claims, was not justified.
Photos taken by Youth Against Settlements show that Hadil was standing at a distance from the soldier, holding her bag. However, the soldier pointed his rifle towards her, and shot her with cold blood.
Hadil Hashlamoun (18) was hit by three bullets in the chest and one in the leg, after Israeli soldiers directly opened fire on her while she was crossing the Container checkpoint on the entrance of Shuhada street, in the old city of Hebron.
Hadil was left to bleed on the spot for about half an hour, then was dragged on the floor by soldiers.
The teenager was moved to Hadassa hospital in Jerusalem by a helicopter for the seriousness of her injury, and was announced dead Tuesday afternoon of her wounds.
