Settlers torch Olive fields in Nablus

A group of Israeli settlers Wednesday dawn have torched tens of dunums of Olive fields in Burin village near Nablus city, northern West Bank.

Security sources said that a group of settlers from the Yetshar settlement, which is constructed on the village lands, have torched the trees and attacked the villagers.

The villagers rushed to put out the fire, but efforts are still being made to completely put it out.

On a related note, an Israeli settler was lightly wounded today in gunfire near Beta village, south of Nablus, by unidentified gunmen.

Following the shooting, Israeli soldiers have sent enforcement to the area in heightened security.
