PU-AMI: Gaza humanitarian crisis deserves all attention

PNN/ Gaza/

In the framework of the World Humanitarian Day1, Première Urgence – Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) in the occupied Palestinian territory urged the International community to give its full attention and focus its efforts on Gaza reconstruction and recovery.

The humanitarian impact of the successive wars and the eight years long blockade is a concern still resonating across a large part of the population in Gaza limiting their full enjoyment of rights and increasing the widespread impoverishment.

On that Day, celebrating humanitarians around the world, it’s important to recall that their work has to be facilitated by seriously addressing the root causes of the Gaza crisis.

PU-AMI provided humanitarian response during and after the war by distributing food and non-food items, providing potable water, supporting the municipalities to remove the rubble and open road and by assisting small- scale farmers to restart their agricultural activities and is still continuing its efforts.
