A source from the Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem on Tuesday said that the Israeli Occupation Police stationed at the gates of Al-Aqsa mosque prevented children and worshiper from entering, but allowed settler groups in.Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) imposed restrictions on the entry of summer camp children into Al-Aqsa, denied them entry if they did not show identity papers.
The source said that meanwhile, dozens of settlers stormed into Al-Aqsa yards from the Magharba Gate, and had a tour there, heavily guarded by police.
The source added that the Muslim worshipers and guards of the mosque (Al-Murabiteen), stood against the settlers, chanting “Allahu Akbar” slogans.
The occupation police detained the ID cards of a number of worshipers who could enter the mosque.
Almost daily, settlers enter the Yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque with police protection. At the same time, high restrictions are imposed on the children and worshipers’ entry.
