A car crash involving a Palestinian car and an Israeli truck last Friday lead to the death of four Palestinians and an unknown number of wounded.
Four Palestinians were killed in a car crash involving a Palestinian car and an Israeli truck near Ramallah last Friday. The Palestinian Red Crescent society told Ma’an News Agency that the victims were three men and a child, and that ambulances at the scene had to free several injured passengers. While Ma’an puts the number of injured people at two, the Jerusalem Post reports that six were hurt.
The names have not been verified, however the Gulf Times has reported them to be teenage brothers Bilal and Ahmad Hussain, as well as their father Youssuf and their uncle Ya’akoub.
According to Ma’an, victims of fatal traffic accidents are often not taken to the hospital, and therefore casualties of traffic accidents are often under-reported. Nearly 8,000 road and traffic accidents were reported in 2013, however the actual number might be much higher.
