Jordan Valley: Military drill evacuates 27 families, torches dunums of lands

PNN/ Bethlehem/
Israeli occupation forces Tuesday early hours have evacuated 27 Palestinian families from Al-Malih area in the Jordan valley, to carry out a military drill.

Head of Al-Malih local council, Aaref Daraghmeh told PNN that the Israeli civil administration informed the families that they must leave their houses today and next Friday from 6:30 AM until 12:00 PM.

Daraghmeh told PNN that major forces and military tanks broke into the area in the early morning. Soldiers fired bombs, burning tens of dunums of land during the training. Daraghmeh added that the people living in the area were terrorized from the fire and the intense shelling and bombing in the civilians area.

IOF also set iron checkpoints and closed roads on people during the drill.

Civilians living in the Jordan Valley have been repeatedly evacuated from their houses under the same pretext by Israeli forces.
