Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out a campaign of mass arrests in the early hours of Tuesday morning, affecting 15 Palestinian civilians in a number of towns, villages and refugee camps, as part of a framework of arrests by the IOF in the West Bank on a daily basis.
Hebrew media quoted a spokesman for the IOF in saying that they had arrested 15 Palestinians in the early hours of Tuesday morning, claiming that the IOF needed to carry out an investigation into events planned involving the throwing of stones and Molotov cocktails at the IOF and settlers.
The 15 Palestinian detainees were taken to interrogation centers for investigation, according to Israeli media.
This comes after 8 Palestinians were arrested in the West Bank on Monday, after IOF stormed a number of towns and areas including Hebron and north Nablus.
Israeli police reportedly arrested a girl on Monday while she was visiting her father, who is detained in Israeli Negev jail. The girl, Sumaia, was visiting her father Abdullah Gunaimant from Hebron – who is serving a life sentence in Israeli jails – when she was arrested and detained, an attorney with the Palestinian Prisoner’s Club (PPC) told WAFA.
