Palestine joins Arab Union of Administrative Courts

The president of the Supreme Court and President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Ali Muhanna, today confirmed his participation in the preliminary conference for the establishment of an Arab Union of Administrative Courts hosted in Egypt over a period of 30-31 days. The conference resulted in the inclusion of Palestine in the union.

Participants of the conference discussed the draft statute of the union and measures to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations at the level of the administrative court and the general judiciary.

The establishment of the union is aimed at developing administrative justice in the Arab world, exhanging experience, forming a training institute for the administrative courts and the issuance of special controls in that regard.

In Egypt, Judge Mehanna met with the conference’s Premier Advisor, Jamal Nada, and the Justice Minister, Ahmed An-Zanad, as well as a several heads of administrative courts and heads of Arab judicial councils.
