The Israeli forces on Thursday morning handed out demolition order to a school and other buildings and tents in Yatta, South of Hebron, according to Rateb Jbour coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlement in Hebron.
Al Jbour said in a statement that the Israeli occupation forces were accompanied by teams from the Hebron City Administration as they raided Al-Majaz village. They handed out demolition orders to the village’s main school which is attended by dozens of students from the neighboring villages. They also gave out warnings to remove tents that belong to two brothers from Abu Aram family.
Al Jbour said that these orders and warnings are part of the Israeli plan to seize Yatta territories, amounting to 50 square kilometers (50,000 dunums).
Al-Jabour added that the school is made up of a number of caravans that were donated by a European institution early this year and is attended by 22 students.
The Israeli authorities did not set a date for the demolitions.
