The Israeli occupation police on Tuesday issued order of blacklisting Palestinians in East Jerusalem who protest against the Israeli occupation. The protesters names will be transferred to the Jerusalem municipality, which will in turn impose financial fines and house demolitions against them as a “punishment.”
Haaretz newspaper said that Israeli police systematically refers the names of Palestinian protesters to the occupation municipality in Jerusalem, penalizes them and sometimes they are sent to criminal court.
Altogether, the lists show, the municipality has carried out hundreds of enforcement activities against the people on them. The lists contain hundreds of Jerusalemites whose names will be handed to the municipality, which will search their names and impose financial fines, collective punishments as closing shops or demolishing homes, to implement the policy of “The cruel fist” which the Jerusalem mayor, Nir Brachat promised.
